Getting Ready to Decorate for Fall Season

Today the weather was cool and the drop in temperature, along with gray skies put me in the mood for getting my home ready for fall decorating. So I made a pot pumpkin coffee latte then lit a pumpkin spice candle to create fall ambiance and to get motivated to decorate.

Before I could attempt to decorate, I needed to organize my summer accessories and home accents. I pulled them all and set them on my dining room table, and then I wrapped in plastic bubble wrap and packed everything in storage containers for the garage. It took me all day to do this prep work and when all containers were out of sight I realized that the next step would mean a top to bottom cleaning to remove the dirt and the dust.
I was exhausted so I asked my husband to help me and he said he would clean the rugs and ceiling fans for me. I was hoping he would say he would clean the baseboard but thought it best to stay quiet.
Cleaning the house with your spouse is a whole lot better than doing it by yourself. Once my husband starts cleaning he is like a machine. He may not have done the baseboards but he did go into the kitchen and washed the dishes, cleaned up the counter and mopped the floor. (He is my hero)
When all was said and done we both sat on the couch and admired our housework. The room looked fresh and very clean. We are both motivated to decorate for fall and Halloween. My husband said he would do the outdoors and I get to decorate the interior.
Tomorrow I will get out my fall storage containers to see what I have and make a list of what I need. I know I will do some shopping this year for leaf pattern table runnersthrowpillows and would like to pick up a fall pattern fleece blanket to toss over the backside of the sofa. Fall nights can be cool and the blanket will come in handy. I also would like to buy some paperplates and fall designed coffee mugs.
Well, I have a plan for tomorrow and think the day will be special because I will be doing autumn activities and crafts with my family. Do you decorate for the fall season?

Favorite Cat Throw Pillows

If you are a cat lover then the cat pillows from Zazzle will be to your liking. The pillows come in a variety of fabrics and are available for indoor or outdoor use. You can also choose a style with a zipper or one without. Throw pillows with a cat design will make your space feel more inviting. There is a cozy feeling when a sofa or side chair features a cat pillow.
A room I designed to show my customer how to decorate their living space with cat decor.

I designed a black cat pillow for my sunroom where the color theme is green with touches of black. The pillow that I bought had a black cat lying in a bed of clover. This cat pillow was complimentary to my space and it was well-received by my family,
I ordered the pillow with the zipper so I could wash it and I choose the polyester fabric. I set it on the sofa next to a solid color green pillow and no sooner than I set it down my husband grabbed it and put it behind his head. Since my husband was lying on the floor I tried to get him to use the other pillow, but he refused and told me that he liked the way the cat pillow felt. That it was not hard or scratchy feeling like the pillows I bought at the mall.
So there you have it an honest review from a man who likes the cat pillows from Zazzle. If you have not shopped at Zazzle.com then I would recommend that you do. They have daily sales where you can use a coupon code to get a discount. No product is ever full price. Plus the quality of the products is very good and the printing is superb.
Here are a few cat pillows that I found at Zazzle. If you would like to view the pillows at the store, click on the blue text underneath the pillow image and you will be rerouted to the designer store where the pillow is located.
All products at Zazzle are created by designers and these pillows are printed on demand. You will never find these pillows at the mall so if you want something unique and you desire to support a small business then shop for cat pillows at Zazzle.com.
This cat pillow was designed from a photograph of a rescued cat named Buddy. Buddy was abandoned when his people moved away. We were able to catch him after he was beaten up. Buddy is deaf, and has a head injury that left him with limited eyesight. He is a great little cat and we love him so much.

This is Lucy the feral cat that we have cared for since 2008.  She is one beautiful cat and this pillow would look stunning when used as an accent in a neutral color room. Would look nice with browns, beige and cream colors on other pillows and decor.
