Spring / Easter Home Décor Ideas

 When it comes time to decorate for the spring / Easter season I prefer to create a classic look by featuring spring floral home decor such as throw pillows, wall décor, wreaths, tablecloths, and runners. I will shop or I will design botanical home decor that features a spring blooming flower; daffodils, tulips, lilacs, and irises to name a few of my favorite spring botanicals.

Here is a vintage bunny rabbit tablecloth that I created at my Zazzle store. This tablecloth features spring flowers, colorful holiday eggs, and a darling bunny rabbit.  It coordinates well with classic or vintage spring-season home decor.

Along with the delightful floral decorations, I will add seasonal decorations to my living room.  I collect figurines by Jim Shore. The Heartwood Creek collection is adorable especially the pint-sized bunny or chick with egg figurines.

Know that I am a firm believer that less is more. I do not like clutter and this is why when I decorate the living room by adding splashes of color so that the neutral color scheme of the room is pleasing to the eye. The space must have ambiance and a delightful spring living room should feel cozy and welcoming to family and friends. 

This year I decorated my kitchen nook by cutting craft paper that I bought at Zazzle and lined the back section of my shelving. Then I added some seasonal rabbit decorations.

I really like the craft paper due to its weight and beautiful printing of the wildflowers, sky, and clouds.  I think my spring / Easter decorations look delightful.

Mosaic Pattern Home Decor

Why shop for the same solid color decorations when you can accent your home with colorful mosaic prints. Last week while visiting a neighbor we got to talking about bathroom accessories that would compliment a black color scheme. She told me that the shops at the mall seemed to offer the same patterns and prints and that she wanted something interesting.

That night I went through my photographs of stained glass windows and mosaics and found a photo that looked promising due to the color used in the design. I uploaded the photo and used the photo editor to mirror the image onto the product when all was said and done I loved the look of the bath towels and accessories as they would compliment a black color scheme bathroom beautifully. Plus the mosaic pattern would appeal to both men and women.

Light up Your Home with Lamp-In-a-Box

A few years ago Zazzle starting carrying Lamp-In-a-Box brand table, tripods and ceiling pendant lamps. These lamps all feature a designer created shade that is unique and never found at the mall. You can buy the lamp as shown with the designer shade or you can create your own lampshade by uploading your photographs or graphics.

Here is an autumn living space with a table lamp in the back by the tree. The shade has tree leaves and you can see that the compliments the decor.

Creating your own lamp from your photograph is a good way to match the wallpaper, drapes or other decoration in your home. All you have to do is take a photo and upload it to Zazzle to create your matching lamp.

Fall Season Decorations

Soon the fall season will be here and you will want to create a cozy living room for your family and friends to relax and unwind. When it comes to decorating for the fall season the colors orange, golden brown and burgundy are a few of my favorites because they make your space feel warm and inviting.
