Update China Cabinet with Zazzle Craft Paper

  

Every year I decorate my China Cabinet for the holiday season and even when I used fairy lights, I thought it looked dark.  This year I updated the China cabinet with craft paper from Zazzle.com

 

Zazzle sells craft paper that can also be used to wrap your gifts.  Unlike the gift wrap paper that is sold at card stores, I found that the weight of Zazzle’s paper is perfect for crafts and for background décor displays.

 

I really like the premium weight of this paper, It's easy to work with and I found the presentation to be beautiful.

Woodsy Winter Season Decor Ideas

 Woodsy tree branches added fragrance and ambiance to the décor of my home. The greenery and pine cones made us feel like we were at a cabin in the woods. Instead of buying winter centerpieces, you can make your own, here are some ideas. 

Instead of buying centerpieces and wall swags for the winter season, I created unique decorations with cuttings from evergreen cypress and balsam trees. I used a combination of branches along with pine cones to create wall-hanging displays and centerpieces.

I had fun putting the decorations together and really liked the way everything turned out. Fresh greenery was so much better than artificial. Know that the pine cones that I used were scented with cinnamon and a few were dipped in silver glitter.

Note After the winter holidays I removed anything that pertain to the holiday and left the greenery and pine cones up throughout the winter season.

Elegant Vintage Christmas Tree Home Decorations

If you are like me and love vintage Christmas tree home decorations then you will like my new holiday products.

The design features a vintage candlelit Christmas tree with a faux embossed white snowflake background. Then I added an element in dark green with a gold border to highlight the metallic gold text “Merry Christmas”. I really like how this design turned out and think that it will compliment Christmas tree-designed china like the one by Spode or Lennox.

Halloween Witch Raven and Pumpkin Home Décor

 

Halloween is celebrated on October 31^st however the entire month of October is when people decorate their homes. Many people decorate with the classic Halloween witch while others decorate with Jack O lantern pumpkins, ghost, and graveyard themes.

Throughout North, America Halloween is celebrated by people who love candy, trick or treating. parties, costumes, and all of the festivities of the season.

Snowman Holiday Decor

Many people decorate their homes for the winter holidays with snowman collectibles, figurines, and home accessories. The cheerful snowman is a remembrance of one's childhood, from building a snowman with the family during the winter season to watching “Frosty the snowman” during the holidays. I collect many things, first, it was Hallmark angels, then it was winter birds, and in the past two years I found that I loved snowmen.

Spring Daffodil Bathroom Accessories

When you decorate your bathroom with colorful spring season daffodil floral bath towels, shower curtain, and other accessories  you will add a cheerful ambiance to your living space. 

 I like to add touches of cheerful yellow to my bathroom decor because coming out of the winter months that is exactly what is needed. Yellow is a positive color and gives good energy.  Here are a few of my bathroom designs

The winter has been long, snowy, and bitter cold. I am anticipating the spring season and today I am shopping online for spring-style daffodil flower bathroom accessories. The plan is to put an end to the winter blues by decorating my guest bathroom with pretty spring flowers. Flower decorations like yellow daffodils, tulips, and crocus will make the space feel warm like the sun.

While I love the colors yellow in a white bathroom I don’t want it to appear too yellow so I will accent the yellow color with red or purple because that is a good contrast and also a warm color. Both colors represent the spring flowers that are blooming in my gardens.

Fall Season Decor Ideas / Pumpkin Products

Many people decorate their homes with the fall colors orange-brown and gold by decorating with leaf garlands, swags, and pumpkins. When you accent the décor of your home with a pumpkin printed home accessories you will be celebrating the fall season and also adding coziness.

One way to add pumpkins to the décor of your home is to buy real pumpkins to set on your front porch or create a harvest style centerpiece that would incorporate small pumpkin accents among chrysanthemum flowers.

Cheerful Sunflower Kitchen Decor

Recently I created a few sunflower designs for a customer. She bought what she needed and I really liked the color combination of yellow, white and blue so I created additional collections using a watercolor illustrated sunflower. The sunflower and navy blue collection will complement a traditional home or a lake house beautifully.

Many people decorate with sunflowers in the summer. When the flower starts to bloom in late June and early July they will add the fresh-cut sunflowers to their kitchen and dining room by setting a bouquet of flowers in a vase in the center of their table.

Tween Girls Bedroom Decor Ideas

When planning a tween girls bedroom it is best to make it interesting by adding texture and color. A tween will spend more time in their bedroom than any other room in the home so it is important to add décor that appeals to her taste.

Choose a bedroom for a tween girl (age 8 to 12) that is large enough to accommodate her needs; sleeping, study area, large closet, area to dress with full-length mirror, a sitting area and windows for natural light. Also, consider a bedroom large enough to accommodate friends for slumber parties and sleepovers.

A room with a view is always better than a room with a window that opens to the side of another house. You would want to create a cozy sitting area with lofty throw pillows next to a window that opens up to a view. Your tween girl will sit by this window when she is talking on the phone, studying or daydreaming.

Consider paint rather than wallpaper because you can easily change the paint color but wallpaper is permanent. Wallpapers may look wonderful but a tween girl may grow tired of the look.  You can always accent the walls by painting a feature primary color wall and then hang posters or install a wall decal.
